The terms you buy under

What you are buying, the moment the sale is done, and what we put right when we get it wrong.

Last updated 2026-09-01.

1. What you are buying

You are buying a finished website for your business, built from answers you give us. It comes with a form that sorts the people who contact you into worth calling now and not, one place where those enquiries arrive and where you work through them, a web address of ours that the site is live at from the day you approve it, and an account where you can see everything we made and change it.

A web address of your own is a separate thing, and it comes after your site is live. When we offer it to you, you pay what the people who sell web addresses charge us and nothing on top, up to a limit we show you before you choose. We do not promise you one as part of the package, and until you take one your site lives at our address.

Higher packages add more. What yours includes is shown before you buy, and it does not change afterwards unless you agree to it.

2. When the sale is complete

We do not take card payments. A package is arranged with us by email: you tell us which one you want, we build your site, and you read it before anybody else can.

The sale completes when you read your site and press the button that puts it live. That is the moment we invoice you. Before that moment, if we cannot deliver, we do not invoice you and the matter ends there. After that moment there is no refund. You have seen exactly what you are buying before you pay for it, which is why. What you get instead is section 3.

3. If it is wrong, we put it right

Some things are our mistake. We fix those as many times as it takes, and we do not bill you again for them:

  • the build failed and produced nothing;
  • the site names a town you did not give us;
  • the offer on the site is not the offer you typed;
  • you gave us a logo and the site does not have it;
  • the form does not deliver what people send through it.

Wanting it different is not the same as it being wrong. Changing wording, colours or a headline because you have changed your mind uses your allowance, and your account shows what you have left.

4. What it costs to keep

The numbers you pay today are the three package prices, and the pricing page carries all three. The first year of running your site is included in what you paid.

After that there is a monthly fee for keeping your site running. It covers looking after the site and nothing else: hosting it, keeping the enquiry form working, keeping it up to date. Changes to the site are not in it. Those are paid with credits, which come with your package or in a credit pack you buy.

That monthly plan is not on sale yet, so there is no price for it on the pricing page and you are not agreeing to one here. When it goes on sale we will tell you what it costs before it applies to you. If a lot of people visit your site it costs us more to serve, so above a stated amount of traffic your bill goes up; you will see the count that drives it in your account before the bill arrives.

If you stop paying, your site goes off. We will warn you more than once before that happens, and we will never do it silently. Paying brings it back exactly as it was, with everything still in it.

5. Leaving

Your site and everything in it are yours, and so is any web address you have taken. You can leave whenever you want, and there are two ways: we move it for you, for a fee shown in your account, or you move it yourself and we give you everything you need to do that.

Either way you have to tell us, so we know to stop running it at our end. Neither of these is automatic yet, so both take a person and a few days. We would rather say that than pretend there is a button.

6. The enquiries you receive belong to you

People who contact you through your site are your customers, not ours. Their names, numbers and messages are yours. We hold that information for you and do nothing else with it:

  • nobody outside your account can read an individual enquiry;
  • we do not sell it, and we do not hand it to anyone;
  • you can download all of it at any time;
  • you can tell us to destroy it, and we will.

The one thing we do use is counts about groups: how many enquiries businesses like yours receive, what times of day they arrive, how many turn out to be worth calling. Those figures never carry anybody’s name, and we build it so they cannot be worked back to a person rather than only promising it. The privacy page says the same thing in more detail.

7. What is on your site is yours to stand behind

We build the site from what you tell us about your business, and we show it to you before anybody else can see it. When you press the button that puts it live, you are saying it is true. If something on it is wrong about your business, tell us and we will fix it, but the claims are yours, because it is your business.

8. What we will not do

  • We will not put your site in front of the public before you have read it and pressed the button.
  • We will not change anything you typed yourself without asking.
  • We will not use your site or your enquiries to advertise ourselves without asking you first.

9. If something breaks

Write to hello@stayaheadtech.com. We do not promise a response time, and we would rather say that than promise one we cannot keep. Nothing in the product depends on a fast reply: if a build fails, it holds safely and nothing is lost while it waits.

10. Changing these terms

If we change these terms, we tell you before the change applies to you, and you can leave under section 5 if you do not like them.

Money questions are answered on the refunds page. Anything else, ask us.
